Trance Medium
As a Trance Medium Gerri is a channel for Vywamus, an Ascended Master
who is seated above the seven planetary Logoi as a cosmic intelligence
in the spiritual hierarchy. Vywamus is committed to the anchoring of the
Christ consciousness on Earth. He is considered to be a master psychologist
and can be called upon in meditation to help rewire one's spiritual bodies
so they can hold more light. He works in an Inner Plane ashram where one
of his main jobs is to help humanity rid the subconscious mind of misconceptions
and faulty beliefs and patterns. He is very sensitive to the problems
of we earthlings, since his own evolutionary path was very similar to
ours and much of it occurred in a similar environment. His love and compassion
extends to all areas of our lives and he is very willing in Trance Channeling
sessions to attempt to contact our departed loved ones Much healing of
old wounds and unresolved issues can take place when Vywamus contacts
our departed loved ones in Trance Channeling sessions.
About Mediumship
Mediumship, or channeling, is not something new on the scene. Record
exists of mediumship from remote times. The Oracle of Delphi was a medium.
In the Old Testament we read that Saul spoke with Samuel,
courtesy of the Medium of Endor (I Sam. 28). The ability to "call
forth" beings in the spiritual world exists to this day and interest
in this activity reached a peak in the 1980's.
In actuality mediumship is simply communication with non-physical states
of being. It is very much akin to the process of telepathy or that of
remote viewing. A fair comparison can also be drawn between channeling
and common television and radio signals., which travel over great distances
for the purpose of delivering messages. Although it is generally considered
to be communication with the dead, there are other ways in which mediumship
can be used. For example, it can be used to communicate with energies
from other dimensions, as in the book We the Arcturians.
It can also be used to materialize physical matter from thin air or transport
physical matter through space. This is a special and rare talent. The
medium who is able to do this is called an Apporting Medium.
The most common forms of mediumship are the use of the Ouija board, automatic
writing, relay mediumship and trance mediumship. Use of the Ouija board
is the most primitive and slowest of mediumship communication, and it
is the most susceptible to interference by lower astral energies and immature
spirits. Jane Roberts, who channeled Seth back in the 1970s and '80s began
her mediumship via use of the Ouija board, although she very quickly moved
on to trance mediumship.The Ouija board is often used for fun and frolic
without a thought to the quality of the communication; using it in that
way is analogous to the owner of a townhouse in New York City opening
his front door and asking the first passerby to come in for a chat. Automatic
writing is a much faster and better form of communication. It may be done
using a pencil, pen, typewriter or computer. The well-known medium, Ruth
Montgomery, used a typewriter. Norma Milanovich, author of We
the Arcturians, received the information for her book via the
computer. Relay mediumship, probably the most common type, involves the
medium receiving a message from someone who has passed on and then passing
it on, in turn, to the intended recipient.
With trance mediumship the medium goes into a deep meditative state and
lends her/his physical body to the communicating entity, who then proceeds
to use the medium's vocal cords (voice), brain (to translate thought into
words) and hands (to gesture). The medium goes through a process of having
her/his personality leave the body immediately before bringing in the
communicating entity. The entity has access not only to its own body of
knowledge but also to that of the medium. The medium may or may not remember
what is said while in trance; that depends upon how deep the trance is.
While in trance the medium may or may not take on physical mannerisms
unique to the entity being channeled. There may or may not be changes
in the timbre of the voice. In other words, she may or may not sound like
someone else when speaking. In some cases transfiguration occurs. When
that happens the medium will assume the physical characteristics of the
entity being channeled.
Mediums have been used by many famous people, including presidents and
their wives. Abraham Lincoln said, "I think it (trance mediumship)
more important than perhaps anyone present can understand." Shirley
MacLaine, actress and
author of the legendary bestseller Out on a Limb and
other books about her spiritual journey, is said to have begun her spiritual
quest after consultation with a trance medium.
